The Jukebox Man Set To Miss First Half Of The Season

The Jukebox Man has been ruled out for the first half of the season after suffering a setback while preparing for the new campaign – important news for Stable Managers considering their eight selections.

Stable Managers considering The Jukebox Man for their eight selections have been handed an important update ahead of the new season. Trainer Ben Pauling has confirmed that The Jukebox Man has picked up a knock while building up for the new campaign and is expected to miss the first half of the season. Last season's King George VI Chase winner had undergone a wind operation following his run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and had initially been expected to return in the Betfair Chase at Haydock in November. Those plans are now on hold while he undergoes rehabilitation. Encouragingly, Pauling has indicated that the setback is not career-ending and connections are looking forward to his return in due course. With Stable Stars selections locking on 1 November, this is significant information for managers weighing up whether to include The Jukebox Man among their eight horses.
